How to choose and arrange your Dashboard cards

3 min read

You pick which number cards sit at the top of your Dashboard, and in what order. Show the ones you check every day, hide the rest, and put them in the order you read them.

You will learn #

  • How to show and hide number cards
  • How to change their order with a mouse or a keyboard
  • Why a card is marked “Doesn’t fit”
  • How to go back to the default cards

Before you begin #

  • Your choice applies to everyone. When you save, everyone who opens this Dashboard sees the same cards in the same order. Compare with last year is different: each browser remembers it for itself.
  • The Dashboard shows up to 12 cards. You can pick more, and the ones after the twelfth stay off the Dashboard until you move them higher or hide a card above them.

Open Customize cards #

  1. In your WordPress admin, open Tendlio → Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize cards, on the bar above the number cards.

The Your number cards panel opens above the cards. It lists every card you can put on your Dashboard, the hidden ones too, and puts a check mark on the ones you’ve picked.

Show, hide and move cards #

  1. Click a card to show it or hide it.
  2. Drag a card to a new place. On a keyboard, move to a card with Tab, press Space or Enter to show or hide it, and use the arrow keys to move it.
  3. Click Save. To leave everything as it was, click Cancel or press Escape.

When a card says “Doesn’t fit” #

The Dashboard shows up to 12 cards, in the order you set. If you’ve picked more than 12, the ones after the twelfth are marked Doesn’t fit while you arrange. Move the card you want higher, or hide a card above it.

Go back to the default cards #

  1. In the Your number cards panel, click Reset to default. The starting cards come back, in their starting order.
  2. Click Save to keep them.

When new cards appear #

Some cards only exist once there’s data for them. When a card like that arrives, it shows up on its own, right after the card that comes before it in the starting order. If your Dashboard already shows 12 cards, the last of them moves off to make room. Open Customize cards to choose which ones stay. You can move or hide the new card like any other.

Additional resources #

  • How to compare your Dashboard numbers with earlier periods: the period buttons and the comparison with last year.
  • Understanding your scores

Frequently asked questions #

Can each person on my team have their own cards? #

No. The cards you save are the same for everyone who opens this Dashboard.

Why can't I show more than 12 cards? #

The Dashboard keeps its numbers to two rows of six. Pick the 12 you check most, and the rest stay a click away in Customize cards.

Does hiding a card stop Tendlio measuring it? #

No. Hiding only takes the card off the Dashboard. The report behind it keeps its numbers.
