Both scores come from your own store’s data: your orders, your products with their prices, cost prices and stock, and your customers. Tendlio reads that data at each analysis, so a score describes your store as that analysis found it.
What goes into them #
Only orders that count as a sale go into the scores. By default, those are Completed, Processing and On hold orders, plus any status another plugin marks as paid. If your store has on-hold orders or statuses from another plugin, Settings → General shows a section called Which orders count as a sale, where you choose which ones count. Tendlio counts a customer by the billing email on their orders, so a guest who checked out without an account counts too.
How a score is put together #
Each score combines several parts, and some count more than others, so a score isn’t the average of its parts. The breakdown shows how each part scored, with the figures from your store behind it. The Inventory Score has one more rule: when its Dead Stock or Stockout Risk part scores far below the rest, that part holds the whole score down, and the breakdown says which one it is.
What counts as normal depends on the kind of store you run, and the Store vertical you picked under Settings → General tells Tendlio which kind that is. A luxury or event shop, for instance, has longer gaps between orders, and its scores allow for that. If you change the vertical, your scores follow at the next analysis.
When the scores change #
A score changes at each analysis. Tendlio runs one every week on its own, and Re-scan store starts one right away. Changes you make, such as cost prices you’ve added, an average margin or a different Store vertical, also show in your scores at the next analysis. The one exception is the Seasonal page: re-checking seasonal products, or marking a product seasonal or not, updates the Inventory Score straight away.
What reaches Tendlio #
Tendlio never receives your customers’ names, emails or addresses, your product names or your individual orders. Tendlio sends two things, and only once a server connection is set up. The first is a summary of each analysis: your store’s totals and rates, how each Tendlio feature was used day by day and what it produced, each storefront widget’s figures per product, without saying which product they belong to, and the values of your Tendlio settings. The second is short usage events, which you can switch off with Share usage events under Settings → General → License & data sharing.
In Help → System status, the Store data section says whether your store sends the summary, and shows it exactly as it’s stored. Your data and privacy lists everything the summary holds.
Emails are a separate matter. When Tendlio sends an email for you, the recipient’s address and name, the subject and the message go to the sending method you set up, as with any email tool.
Stores that sell in more than one currency #
If your store takes orders in more than one currency, the Customer Score adds amounts in every currency together as plain numbers, so read the parts that look at money as approximate. Tendlio does this on purpose: leaving out the orders in other currencies would drop those customers from your customer groups and campaigns. The Segments page, the customer list and each customer’s profile say so when enough of your orders are in another currency.

Frequently asked questions #
Can I see how much each part of a score counts? #
No. The breakdown shows how each part scored and the figures from your store behind it, but not how much each part counts.
Does Tendlio send my customers' data anywhere? #
Not to us. Names, emails, addresses, product names and individual orders never reach Tendlio. Once a server connection is set up, Tendlio sends a summary of each analysis and short usage events, and neither holds any of those. System status shows the summary exactly as it's stored. When Tendlio sends an email for you, the recipient's address and name go to the sending method you set up, as with any email tool.
Why didn't my score change after I added cost prices? #
Cost prices reach the score at the next analysis. Click Re-scan store, or wait for the weekly one.
