System status sums up your Tendlio setup for support: versions, settings, background tasks and recent errors. It’s also where you choose how long Tendlio keeps older records, and whether deleting the plugin deletes its data.
You will learn #
- How to send your setup details to support
- What to check on the page when something isn’t working
- How to see the summary Tendlio keeps of each analysis
- How to keep older records for less time, and what that removes
Before you begin #
- Some parts are for administrators only. Anyone who can use Tendlio can open System status. Only an administrator can change Data retention and Delete data when you uninstall, and only an administrator sees Messages you sent from Help.
Open System status #
- In Tendlio’s menu, open Help → System status.
Send your setup details to support #
When you send a message from Help → Contact support, Tendlio attaches this summary to it, so you don’t have to copy anything. To send the summary another way, for example in an email, click Copy diagnostics at the top of the page and paste it into your message.
The summary holds versions, settings, rough counts, and the recent errors listed at the bottom of the page. Before Tendlio stores an error, it masks any email address in it, so a customer’s email address doesn’t travel with your recent errors.
Check what’s wrong #
Most of the tables are written for support, but a few lines answer common questions:
- Environment, in the Plugin table, says whether Tendlio treats this site as your live store. On a staging copy, the line says that Tendlio pauses customer emails, the weekly summary email and automatic price changes there, and that your reports and analysis keep working.
- Scheduled tasks lists Tendlio’s background tasks, each with its next run and its last successful one. OVERDUE: WP-Cron may not be running shows next to a task that’s late when Tendlio hasn’t seen your site run any scheduled task in the last day. If you see it, ask your host whether their server runs WordPress’s scheduled tasks. A last run marked (from an admin page, not a scheduled run) happened because someone had a Tendlio page open, not because the schedule ran it.
- Cart capture shows whether Tendlio is saving abandoned checkouts: Capture says whether it’s on, and Capture health whether it’s working.
- Sending shows how your emails go out. Actually sending says whether they do, and the lines above it say what’s missing when they don’t: Credentials saved, Switched to Live and Recognized as the live store.
- Database character set and Database index width, in the Environment table, check whether your database can store everything Tendlio needs. When one of them names tables, it also says what to ask your host.
- Activation, below the tables, says what our server last answered about your activation code, this site’s address and the address Tendlio was first set up on, when our server last confirmed the code, and when Tendlio last checked it.
- Recent errors, at the bottom, lists the errors Tendlio has recorded, newest first. Seen counts the five-minute windows an error showed up in, not every time it happened. An error marked last seen under …, an earlier version hasn’t happened again since you updated Tendlio. Clear error log empties the list.
See what Tendlio keeps of each analysis #
Under Store data, Tendlio shows the summary it keeps of each analysis: your store’s totals and rates, how each Tendlio feature was used and what it produced, your storefront widgets’ figures per product, without saying which product they belong to, and the values of your Tendlio settings. Click Preview the store data to open that summary part by part, exactly as Tendlio stores it.
The heading tells you whether your store sends any of it. The line under the preview says whether usage events are on. Your data and privacy explains both.
Choose how long to keep older records #
- Under Data retention, choose Forever (keep everything), 6 months, 12 months or 24 months.
- Click Save.
With a shorter period, Tendlio removes older records once a day: the record of emails it sent, saved carts and checkouts, review requests, price history, and to-do cards that are done or have gone away. It never removes your scores, your score trend or the results of past analyses. A few other records stay whatever you choose, such as the list of people who unsubscribed, and Your data and privacy lists them.
Data & storage, higher up the page, shows how much space each of Tendlio’s tables takes. Data retention shrinks only the records listed above. The daily storefront figures follow their own schedule: Tendlio clears them after about 13 months, whichever period you choose.
Decide what deleting Tendlio does #
Under Delete data when you uninstall, Delete all plugin data when the plugin is deleted is off unless you turn it on. While it’s off, deleting Tendlio keeps your data in your database, so a reinstall picks up where you left off. Starting over, or what happens if I uninstall explains what it removes when it’s on.
Read the messages you sent from Help #
Until Tendlio can deliver them, the messages you send from Send feedback, Request a feature and Contact support stay on your site. An administrator sees the newest 10 under Messages you sent from Help, each with when it was sent, the address it came from, and the page it was sent from. This section shows only once there’s a message.
Why System status works this way #
A task can run “from an admin page” #
Some hosts run scheduled tasks rarely, so Tendlio also runs some of its background tasks when someone opens a Tendlio page. A run like that proves that someone had the page open, not that your site runs its schedule, which is why Tendlio marks it.
Data retention never touches your scores #
Your score trend and your reports are built from your past analyses. Removing them would change numbers you’ve already read, so they stay whatever period you choose.

Frequently asked questions #
Does the diagnostics summary include my customers' data? #
It isn't built from your customers' data: it holds versions, settings, rough counts and recent errors. Before Tendlio stores an error, it masks any email address in it down to the first letter and the domain.
What does "OVERDUE: WP-Cron may not be running" mean? #
A background task is late, and Tendlio hasn't seen your site run any scheduled task in the last day. Ask your host whether their server runs WordPress's scheduled tasks.
Will a shorter data retention period make my database much smaller? #
Only the records it covers get smaller: sent-email records, saved carts and checkouts, review requests, price history and old to-do cards. Data & storage shows which tables take the most space; the daily storefront figures clear themselves after about 13 months anyway.
