Tendlio works from your WooCommerce orders, so a sale you ring up on a till that isn’t connected to WooCommerce never reaches it. If you also sell in a shop or at markets and those sales don’t go through WooCommerce, Tendlio’s numbers describe your online sales, and a few settings keep the missing shop sales from leading you to a wrong decision.
What Tendlio counts #
Tendlio counts every WooCommerce order whose status counts as a sale, whatever created it: your checkout, an order you add yourself in WooCommerce, or a till that records each sale as a WooCommerce order.
Sales that never become a WooCommerce order aren’t counted, and Tendlio doesn’t import sales from a till or from a file.
What that means for your numbers #
- Selling pace, forecasts and restock quantities come from your WooCommerce orders. An order quantity on your restock list covers what sells through WooCommerce, not what the shop needs. And if your shop sells from the same stock, a product can run out sooner than its run-out date says.
- Health colors and dead stock: a product that sells well in your shop and rarely online can show as Slow or Dead, and count toward the stock you have tied up.
- Auto outlet decides from your WooCommerce orders too, so it can discount a product that’s moving in your shop.
- Customers: Tendlio knows a customer by the billing email on their orders. So a customer who only buys in your shop isn’t in your customer groups or your Customer Score. If your point-of-sale orders have no email, they count as sales but not as customers. If they all carry the same email, for example your shop’s own address, Tendlio sees them as one customer who buys very often.
- Revenue, orders and average order value on the Dashboard and in Reports count WooCommerce orders only.
What to do #
- Keep products that sell in the shop out of Auto outlet. On the Auto outlet page, open Protection & exclusions and tick their categories under Excluded categories. For a single product, tick Exclude from Outlet Auto in the Tendlio section of the product’s General tab in WooCommerce. Manual outlet ignores both, because there you choose each discount yourself.
- Mark online-only discounts. If your Outlet discounts are only for your website, type a label such as “Online only” into Outlet badge on the Discount rules tab. Your storefront then shows that label on every product Outlet has discounted, next to WooCommerce’s sale badge, wherever your theme shows that badge.
- Add the shop’s needs when you restock. On your restock list, type your own Order qty where the shop needs more. Tendlio keeps the number you type.
- Keep your WooCommerce stock counts up to date as the shop sells, so run-out dates and order quantities start from the stock you have.
Tip: If your point-of-sale system can record each sale as a WooCommerce order, check which status those orders get, because Tendlio only counts orders whose status counts as a sale. If your store has on-hold orders or statuses from another plugin, you choose which ones count under Settings → General → Which orders count as a sale.

Frequently asked questions #
Can Tendlio import sales from my till? #
No. Tendlio counts WooCommerce orders. If your point-of-sale system records each sale as a WooCommerce order, those sales count.
Will Auto outlet discount products that sell well in my shop? #
It can, because it decides from your WooCommerce orders. Exclude those categories, or the single products, and it leaves them alone.
Why is one customer on my list buying far more often than anyone else? #
If your point-of-sale orders all carry the same email address, Tendlio counts them as one customer.
